24/7 Emergency Line for Emergency Services

SVPRVS operates a 24/7 emergency response line dedicated to assisting police, fire, and paramedic services across the region. This line ensures that trained crisis responders are available day or night to support individuals impacted by crime, trauma, sudden death, house fires, or other critical incidents.

By working closely with emergency services, Victim Services responders provide emotional and practical support during the first critical hours of a crisis, while allowing emergency personnel to focus on their primary roles.

Hawkesbury Warming Centre

The Hawkesbury Warming Centre, located at 429 Abbott Street in the former École Jean-Bosco, provides temporary overnight shelter and support during the winter months for individuals experiencing homelessness in Prescott-Russell.

Open nightly during the cold season, the Centre offers a warm and secure place to rest, bathroom and hygiene supplies, light food options, basic essentials, support from trained staff, and referrals to community and housing services. During the 2024–2025 season, the Centre served 21 individuals and helped support transitions toward more stable housing.

This initiative reflects the community’s commitment to dignity, compassion, and collective action in addressing rural homelessness.
